Africa's Children in Education

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year from ACE and Arise School!

It will be two years this month since Arise School opened its doors for the first time to 11 pupils, one teacher and one classroom. Africa’s Children in Education (ACE) only came into being as an association in May 2014 and was granted charity status in July. It has been a brilliant two years. 2014 has certainly seen all of our dreams for ACE exceeded.

imageWhen the school term finished at the end of this November, there were 88 pupils at Arise School, four teachers and two support staff. A third classroom will be ready for the start of the new term in January. We still have so many dreams for the school and hope that 2015 will see them fulfilled. We so much want to see Arise School go from strength to strength.

Share in our dreams. Please help us in whatever way you can. Make it your New Year resolution to read our blog and help us make those dreams come true. You can help in so many ways. Your support will make a real difference and help the children make the most of their education.

We also want to wish the individual young people we support in further education a very Happy New Year. We wish them good luck and every success in their studies during the coming year. We fully expect to see our first young person graduate from university – a huge achievement!

If you would like to give a young person hope for the future in 2015 by supporting them to continue at school or qto study at a higher level, we would love to hear from you. Please help ACE to help them achieve their aspirations.
