A Joyful, Meaningful and Memorable 2026 Graduation Celebration

On September 19th, Arise School celebrated its annual graduation ceremony for

Grade 7 students. It was an event filled with both emotion and entertainment as

students, teachers, parents and guests came together to celebrate the graduates.

There was much excitement and a joyful atmosphere in the air as they were warmly

welcomed by the school band and a parade of students. A traditional and colourful

dance, performed by the younger children in pre-unit class, was followed by a

beautiful song from the school choir and a lively, entertaining dance from Grade 6.

There were speeches – from the graduation students themselves, reflecting on their

experiences at the school and expressing gratitude to their teachers, parents, and

fellow students, and from the Guest of Honour, encouraging the graduates to continue

working hard and pursue their dreams. One of the guests also recited a special poem

dedicated to Arise School, adding a very meaningful touch to the celebration.

Certificates were presented and a graduation cake from Uchumi Bank to congratulate

Grade 7 on completing their studies was also presented. Cutting the cake proved a

special and joyful highlight for all present.

The entertainment continued with more dances and presentations, including dances

by both parents and teachers and a presentation by some of the school’s youngest

children in ABC class which added a spiritual message to the occasion.

One of the most emotional moments was a goodbye song by Grade 7 through which

they expressed their appreciation and farewell to their younger brothers and sisters

and to their teachers who would remain at the school.

As always, the ceremony finally came to an end with everyone sharing food and

drinks – an opportunity for students, parents, teachers and guests to interact, celebrate,

and create lasting memories.

Overall, it proved a very joyful, meaningful and memorable occasion, celebrating the

achievements of the graduating students whilst also giving them an opportunity to say

goodbye and express their gratitude to those who had supported them throughout

their time Arise. We wish them all good luck and every success as they await their

exam results and in the next stage of their educational journey at secondary school.
